A special panel advising N.J. Gov. Chris Christie has said that the state is leaving all sorts of money on the table by ignoring resources — like yard waste — that could be converted to renewable fuels to power vehicles or run power plants.
The panel has suggested that the state target resources to develop public and private partnerships to build renewable biomass facilities to produce electricity or fuel in the next two to three years.
