About Positions

• Monday – Friday, 8 hours per shift with occasional Saturday hours required. The typical work week is 40-50 hours.

Under minimal supervision, in an unheated outdoor sorting facility, stands at a conveyor belt resorting machine/excavator pre-sorted material. Incumbent removes recyclable items e.g., plastic, cardboard and light metals. Handling and storage of incoming material to proper areas in a safe and efficient manner; performs manual material separation at the processing picking stations; process residue management and cleanup; must be able to work independently and as part of the team. The position is Monday – Friday, 8 hours per shift with occasional Saturday hours required. The typical work week is 40-50 hours.

Positions would ensure the continuous operation of plant’s auxiliary equipment systems; perform chemical tests on plant water systems; perform routine and preventative maintenance and conduct safety checks and inspections; perform equipment operation and record keeping duties on a variety of moderately complex systems. Ability to operate the plant from the Distributive Control System (DCS) is needed. This position requires a minimum of a 4th class Stationary Engineers License for Maine facilities, a high school diploma or equivalent and a person who will show initiative, be self-sufficient in his/her work and be able to work in a team environment.

These positions are responsible for maintaining the fuel (wood) yard, including the receipt, handling and storage of fuel in a safe and efficient manner. Position would perform a variety of associated scale house/fuel duties and support the operations functions as required; responsible for the quality assurance and quality control of fuel deliveries: inspection of alternative fuels, preparation of reports, general upkeep of scale and truck dump areas. The candidates will perform preventative maintenance of the fuel handling system and all yard maintenance. These positions require experience in the operation of heavy equipment.
