environmental stewardship, philanthropy and community engagement.
One of ReEnergy’s primary objectives is to use cleaner, locally sourced fuel while respecting the environment and ensuring the sustainability of forestland for generations to come.
We believe that waste isn’t something to be packed into ever-diminishing landfill space. It’s a resource that we can transform into green and clean energy, and raw materials for other industries through the application of advanced technologies and innovative processes.
We’re committed to managing the recyclable components of waste efficiently, so the recyclable material can be used and converted into new products and fuel, whenever possible.
ReEnergy is the first company, solely devoted to electricity production, to be certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) ® 2010-2014 Standard.
This independent and globally recognized certification indicates the significant commitment that ReEnergy has made to procure forest materials from qualified logging professionals who utilize best management practices and operate with an ethic of land stewardship that integrates reforestation and protects the long-term quality of soil, air, water resources, biological diversity and aesthetics.

Managing Environmental Impacts
ReEnergy’s efforts to manage environmental impacts are extensive and continuous — it is one of our top priorities to ensure that our operating facilities meet or exceed current regulatory requirements. We work collaboratively with federal, state and local regulators to implement practices and programs that mitigate environmental impacts and allow us to provide clean, homegrown power to our communities in the safest and cleanest manner possible.
To ensure environmental compliance, we implement various programs, set goals, and monitor our performance and progress on a continuous basis. We employ highly qualified engineers, environmental officers and well-respected consultants to ensure that our operating practices and our equipment and systems meet the high expectations set by our regulators and ourselves.
